Figures published in July 2008 revealed that nearly half of all patients in some areas of the country do not get NHS dental care. The dental reforms introduced by the Government in 2006 have caused 1,600 dentists to leave the NHS and figures show that a million fewer patients now see an NHS dentist than before the reforms were introduced. A straw poll of dentists suggests that even more could leave the NHS next spring when a new system of payments is introduced.
A good ‘budget’ policy for
a couple in their early 30s with two children can cost as little as a daily cappuccino!
